Northern Tier Pictures... June 09. My Nephew Rowdy from New
Braunfels, TX came with me on this
high adventure Boy Scout Trip.
We first stopped by an old mine and went 1/2 mile under ground.
Entrance into base camp.
Portage trails were rough.
The crew in front of Louisa Falls on Agnes Lake
Dinner. For us and the mosquitoes. There were billions of
them.
Rowdy and Roger
Here we are entering a portage with Muck. That is the thickest mud
ever. That is me on the
left with the pack pack called the "grey whale" with 70 lbs of our gear.
Thomas is carrying the canoe.
Thomas sunk up to his hip in muck. so I went through with my pack and set
it down. Then went back
to help Thomas out. Then I suck down and you see me pulling myself out
with the tree on the right.
Quiet mornings.
We fished and caught Walli, Trout, Bass, and Pike.
Here is Rowdy with his trout. It tasted great.
Raising our bear Bags that have our food. We hung it every night.
OK. Lets stop and check the maps and compass. Don't worry...
I had my GPS and we
ain't gettin lost.
The Loon Bird. Very fascinating.
Back to camp at last and hot showers.
We stopped by Mall of America on the way to the airport in Minneapolis.
